Queen Rania of Jordan recently celebrated her 53rd birthday surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday 31 August. The queen took to Instagram to share images from the joyous occasion, including photos of the birthday decorations and a special lunch hosted by her family and friends.

The Instagram Stories post showed pastel-colored balloons and a decorative banner adorning the door, creating a festive backdrop for the celebration. The images showcased the beautiful atmosphere that filled the room, reflecting the love and happiness that surrounded Queen Rania on her special day.

Among the photos of the birthday lunch, one showed Queen Rania seated next to her husband, King Abdullah II, and her daughter-in-law, Princess Rajwa, who recently married Crown Prince Hussein in June. The image captured a heartwarming moment, as Queen Rania had her arms around Princess Rajwa, both of them radiating joy and affection.

In a heartfelt message on Instagram, Queen Rania expressed her gratitude to her loved ones for making her feel truly special on her birthday. She thanked her family, her Majesty, and all the wonderful Jordanians who have played a role in her life. The queen acknowledged the presence of each and every one of them, acknowledging her appreciation for their support and love.

Crown Prince Hussein also paid tribute to his mother on Instagram, sharing another picture from the birthday lunch. He wished her a happy birthday and expressed his hope for God’s blessings and protection upon her. The words of the crown prince reflected the deep affection and respect he holds for his mother.

The day before her birthday celebrations, Queen Rania visited Firyal Kofahi’s Kitchen in the village of Hawar. Her hosts presented her with two cakes as a gesture of appreciation and friendship. The visit demonstrated the queen’s commitment to engaging with the Jordanian community and supporting local businesses and initiatives.

Queen Rania’s birthday comes after a year filled with personal celebrations for the Jordanian royal family. In March, Princess Iman, the second child of King Abdullah and Queen Rania, married Jameel Alexander “jimmy” Thermiótis. The princess looked stunning in a long-sleeve A-line Dior gown and a Chaumet diamond tiara.

In May, the royal family celebrated Prince Hashem’s high school graduation and Princess Salma’s graduation from the University of Southern California. Queen Rania shared her pride in their achievements on Instagram, expressing her desire for a moment of respite amidst the busy schedule of family milestones.

In June, the world witnessed the grand wedding and reception of Crown Prince Hussein and Rajwa Al Saif. Royals from various countries, including the Prince and Princess of Wales and Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, were in attendance. Rajwa sparkled in a fitted gown by Elie Saab, adorned with a diamond tiara. Later, she changed into a Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda ballgown with exquisite embroidered floral detailing.

Queen Rania’s marriage to King Abdullah II has been a central part of the royal family’s history. They tied the knot on 10 June 1993, at Zahran Palace. King Abdullah ascended the throne on 7 February 1999, and Queen Rania became his queen, standing by his side with grace and poise.

As Queen Rania celebrated her 53rd birthday, she received an outpouring of love and well wishes from her family, friends, and fans around the world. Her journey as Queen of Jordan continues to inspire many, and her kindness and devotion to her role are an example to all.
