Three years ago, on Monday 17 July, the world was taken aback by the unexpected wedding of Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. Originally scheduled for May 2020, the couple had to postpone their nuptials due to the global pandemic. However, they decided to proceed with a private ceremony at the Royal Chapel of All Saints, Royal Lodge, Windsor in July 2020. Despite the restrictions in place at the time, a small group of guests, including the late Queen Elizabeth II and the late Duke of Edinburgh, were in attendance.
A Regal Affair
Princess Beatrice looked radiant on her special day, donning a stunning gown that had been redesigned from a creation by Norman Hartnell. The dress was graciously loaned by her grandmother, adding sentimental value to the ensemble. To complement her attire, she wore Queen Mary’s diamond fringe tiara, completing her regal look. The intimate ceremony held at Windsor was the perfect backdrop for their love story.
A Childhood Connection
Beatrice and Edoardo’s relationship spans back to their childhood. However, it wasn’t until the autumn of 2018 that they began dating. Their connection grew stronger, and in September 2019, Edoardo proposed to Beatrice while they were vacationing in Italy. The engagement ring, designed by Shaun Leane, symbolizes their enduring love and commitment to each other. Their journey as a couple has been nothing short of remarkable.
A Growing Family
In addition to their loving union, Beatrice and Edoardo have expanded their family. On 18 September 2021, they welcomed their first child, Sienna Mapelli Mozzi. The joy of becoming parents has undoubtedly brought them closer together and marked another milestone in their relationship. Furthermore, Beatrice embraces her role as a stepmother to Edoardo’s son, Christopher Woolf, affectionately known as Wolfie, from a previous relationship with American architect Dara Huang. Their blended family is a testament to their love and commitment to their children.
From their intimate Windsor wedding to the birth of their precious daughter, Beatrice and Edoardo have experienced a whirlwind of events in the past three years. Their journey together has been filled with love, joy, and growth. As they celebrate their anniversary, they can reflect on the cherished memories they have created and look forward to the many more milestones that lie ahead.
