Prince Albert of Monaco’s Eldest Daughter Joins Fellow Actors on Picket Lines in Support of SAG-AFTRA Strike

Prince Albert of Monaco’s eldest daughter, Jazmin Grace Grimaldi, may not have a claim to the Monaco throne due to her illegitimate status. However, she has chosen a different path in life as an actress. Recently, Jazmin showed her solidarity with her fellow actors and entertainment professionals by joining the picket lines in Los Angeles to support the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.

At 31 years old, Jazmin Grace Grimaldi is a professional actress who gained recognition for her role in the third series of the popular show, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. As a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA), Jazmin actively participated in the strike that began earlier this month.

Raising Awareness on Social Media

Jazmin used her social media platform to share her experiences on the picket lines. She posted clips from the first six days of the strike, raising awareness for the cause. On the fourth day, Jazmin was even accompanied by her adorable pet dog, Frankie Bleu. Her posts garnered tremendous support from fans, who expressed their hopes for a victorious outcome and praised the actors’ persistence.

Although Jazmin does not have a claim to the Monaco throne, she maintains a strong and loving relationship with her father, Prince Albert. Albert confirmed his paternity when Jazmin was 14 years old, emphasizing his commitment to protecting her privacy. Jazmin has celebrated milestone birthdays with her father and regularly attends the Princess Grace Awards, which are named after her beloved grandmother, Grace Kelly.

The ongoing strikes led by SAG-AFTRA have entered their second week. Duncan Crabtree-Ireland, the Chief Negotiator, expressed disappointment in the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) for their reluctance to meet the union’s demands during a press conference. Despite this setback, Crabtree-Ireland encouraged union members to continue holding their labor.

The Demands and the Impasse

SAG-AFTRA represents professionals from various sectors of the entertainment industry, including actors, journalists, dancers, and singers. The actors’ demands primarily revolve around improved compensation and benefits, particularly regarding residuals from streaming services. They argue that current rates have not kept up with the exponential growth of platforms like Netflix, HBO Max, Hulu, Prime Video, and others. Additionally, actors are seeking better protection against the unauthorized use of their likeness by artificial intelligence technologies.

Numerous prominent actors have shown their support by joining their fellow union members on the picket lines. Kevin Bacon, Sarah Silverman, Jeremy Allen White, and Allison Janney are among those who have made appearances. Even Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, accompanied by his girlfriend Erin Darke and their newborn son, actively participated in the strike.

Jazmin Grace Grimaldi’s Stand

Jazmin Grace Grimaldi, the eldest daughter of Prince Albert, has chosen her own path as an actress. Despite her illegitimate status, she remains close to her father, regularly supporting important events. Most recently, she stood in solidarity with entertainment professionals by joining the SAG-AFTRA strike in Los Angeles. The strike continues to advocate for improved compensation, benefits, and protection against the unauthorized use of actors’ likenesses in an era of streaming services and artificial intelligence.
