Former “Today” anchor, Matt Lauer, who has been keeping a low-profile since his professional downfall, made a rare public appearance at the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation gala. The event took place at the Muses in Southampton on Saturday, where Lauer was spotted solo among the guests.

The event aimed to raise funds for a charity dedicated to serving the poor and homeless on the East End of Long Island.
