King Charles’ Family Attends Wimbledon: Flora Vesterberg Makes a Stylish Appearance

The absence of King Charles and Queen Camilla at Wimbledon has not stopped other members of the royal family from attending the prestigious tennis tournament. Among them is Flora Vesterberg, the monarch’s third cousin and granddaughter of Princess Alexandra. Flora recently shared photos of herself at the event, suggesting that she was present on Wednesday. Her elegant attire included a fitted white dress with halterneck detailing, fashionable sunglasses, and a clutch bag. In one photo, she is seen enjoying strawberries and tags her husband, Timothy, who was also at the tournament, dressed in a blue suit.

Flora and Timothy’s Wedding and Royal Attendees

Flora and Swedish financier Timothy tied the knot in a small wedding ceremony in 2020. Due to COVID-19 restrictions at the time, their wedding was limited in size. However, they opted for a grander celebration the following year. Several members of the royal family attended their wedding, including the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh (then known as the Count and Countess of Wessex), Princess Alexandra, the Duke of Kent, Prince Michael of Kent, Lord and Lady Frederick Windsor, Lady Gabriella Windsor, and Lady Amelia Windsor.

The Royal Box and Wimbledon’s Guest Selection Process

Although Flora and Timothy were not seated in the Royal Box despite their royal connection, the decision regarding who gets to sit there is made by Wimbledon officials. Dickie Arbiter, the late Queen’s former press secretary, revealed that Wimbledon allocates a certain number of tickets, some of which are for the Royal Box and prime seats within the center court. These tickets are distributed through a ballot system. The selection of guests for the Royal Box is at the discretion of Wimbledon. They receive prior notice if a royal member wishes to attend or may send out open invitations. The seating plan is adjusted accordingly, with front-row seats kept available. The rest of the seats are often filled with celebrities, which Wimbledon has no trouble attracting.

Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, also made an appearance at Wimbledon earlier in the week. She attended on the second day of the event, wearing a mint green blazer over a white pleated dress. The Duchess looked fashionable with white lapels and covered buttons on her jacket, carrying a small white bag. Kate watched the matches from Court 18 and was seen flipping her hair over her shoulder, a signature move that her daughter Charlotte has also picked up.

Unfortunately, Kate’s time court-side was cut short due to rain. The match between British number one Katie Boulter and Australia’s Daria Saville was called off, leading to an early end to the Duchess’ visit.

In summary, members of King Charles’ family, including his third cousin Flora Vesterberg, have been spotted at Wimbledon. Flora looked stylish in her outfit, while Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, also made a fashionable appearance. The seating in the Royal Box is determined by Wimbledon officials, who accommodate requests from the royal family and fill the remaining seats with celebrities. Despite the rain interrupting the matches, the presence of the royals added an extra touch of glamour to the prestigious tennis tournament.
