Kelly confessed that she had barely been able to sleep due to her excitement.

The Kelly Clarkson Show has recently been accused of having a toxic work environment behind the scenes. On May 13, Kelly broke her silence over the allegations and shared a statement. She expressed that she has always led with her heart and what she believed to be right in her 20 years in the entertainment industry. Kelly further added that she loves her team at The Kelly Clarkson Show and finds it unacceptable that anyone is feeling unheard and/or disrespected on the show.

Kelly Clarkson stated that she is committed to creating and maintaining a safe and healthy environment at The Kelly Clarkson Show, especially as they prepare to move to the East Coast. Kelly is committed to ensuring that both the team that is moving and the new team in New York are comprised of the best and kindest in the business. She also added that leadership training for all of the senior staff, including herself, will be part of that build. Kelly believes there is always room to grow and become the best version of ourselves in any business, especially when it comes to leadership to ensure that any notion of toxicity is eradicated.
Former Employees Speak Out About Kelly’s Unawareness of the Toxic Environment
Kelly reportedly had “no clue how unhappy” the team was, with the accusations leveled at executive producer Alex Duda. Rolling Stone spoke to 10 former employees and one current employee, who all shared that they don’t believe the host has any sense of what is happening behind the scenes. One former employee shared that Kelly is fantastic and is a person who never treats anyone with anything but dignity and is incredibly appreciative. The employee also added that they would be shocked if Kelly knew about the staff not getting paid for two weeks of Christmas hiatus.
An NBCUniversal spokesperson has shared that they are committed to a safe and respectful work environment and take workplace complaints very seriously. The spokesperson further added that when issues are reported, they are promptly reviewed, investigated, and acted upon as appropriate.
