Jimmie Allen sued for sexual abuse and assault by former manager

A former manager of the country singer, Jimmie Allen, filed a lawsuit against him for sexual abuse and assault. The woman, referred to as “Jane Doe,” claimed that Allen repeatedly subjected her to sexual abuse and harassment for 18 months while she worked for his management company. The lawsuit stated that Allen raped her while he was a guest judge on “American Idol” during a work trip to Los Angeles in March 2021. The woman alleged that she lost consciousness after drinking wine and found herself naked in her hotel room with Allen the next morning. She also claimed that Allen sexually abused her in various locations, including red lights, green rooms, airplanes, and other places where she was required to support him at events. Furthermore, the lawsuit claimed that Allen videotaped their sexual encounters to blackmail her into staying silent.

Allen’s Response

Allen denied all allegations of sexual abuse and assault in a statement to Page Six. He acknowledged having a sexual relationship with his former manager but claimed that it was consensual and lasted for almost two years. Allen also accused his former manager of having ulterior motives for filing the lawsuit. He stated that she never accused him of any wrongdoing during their relationship and only contacted him after things ended to ask for money.

Lawsuit Details

The former manager is suing Allen for sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment, sex trafficking, and emotional distress. She is also suing Wide Open Music and its founder, Ash Bowers, for participating in a venture engaged in sex trafficking and gross negligence, among other counts. The lawsuit alleged that the former manager and another party reported Allen’s inappropriate behavior to Bowers and Wide Open Music, but Bowers normalized Allen’s sexual harassment and fired her in retaliation. However, Bowers claimed that he did not fire Jane Doe for retaliation, and she was let go after the label parted ways with Allen.

The news of the lawsuit came three weeks after Allen announced his separation from his wife, Alexis Gale. They have two daughters together and are expecting their third child later this year. Allen stated that their priority is to ensure that their children are healthy, happy, and loved.
