London’s Highways Festival Brings Country Music to Royal Albert Hall

The Royal Albert Hall in London has been a popular venue for country music’s biggest stars for decades, and this year’s Highways Festival was bigger and better than ever before. The festival featured performances from Kip Moore, Morgan Wade, Jackson Dean, and Stephen Wilson Jr., who delighted the audience with hits like Wade’s “Wilder Days” and Moore’s latest single “Damn Love.”

Moore, who had been dreaming of performing at the Royal Albert Hall for 15 years, shared his excitement about the event. He revealed that the venue had been his inspiration during his early career days when he was living in a garage apartment and writing music. Moore’s fifth studio album “Damn Love,” which was released in April, reflects his struggles with feeling like an outsider. He wants people to understand that they don’t have to fit into a particular mold to find love and peace in their lives.

Wade, who recently announced that her second studio album “Psychopath” will be available on streaming platforms on August 25th, was thrilled to perform at the Royal Albert Hall for the first time. Her debut album “Reckless” was released in 2021 and topped Rolling Stone’s Best Country Albums of the year list.

Wade expressed her excitement about the venue, saying, “I’ve seen photos of the Royal Albert Hall, but I’ve never been in here before. It’s just so beautiful, it’s amazing. The acoustics in here are great. It’s so exciting.”

The Royal Albert Hall has been an iconic venue for 152 years. In 1966, country music legends Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, and June Carter graced the stage for Cash’s hit Country and Western Show. Since then, the venue has hosted some of the biggest names in Country and Americana, including Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow, and Glen Campbell.

The Highways Festival celebrates the stars of today, showcasing the best and brightest in country music. The audience at this year’s festival was treated to a variety of performances, each with its own unique sound and style.

Moore revealed that he has already made a whole new record and plans to start working on it in late summer. He is also looking forward to tackling mission work in the future. For now, he is focused on making the best records he can and expanding his international touring.

Wade’s new album, “Psychopath,” will feature 13 tracks and will showcase her life since the release of “Reckless.” She says that the album will explore the idea of settling down and growing up.

London’s Highways Festival brought country music to the iconic Royal Albert Hall this year, showcasing some of the biggest names in the genre. Kip Moore and Morgan Wade delivered unforgettable performances, and their new albums promise to be just as exciting.
