This comes after Jack’s character left the show following the death of his on-screen wife Barbara in the seventh series. Despite their split, Helen and Jack will continue to co-parent their two children, Wren, aged five, and Lark, aged one.
Helen and Jack’s romantic journey began in 2016 when they started dating after filming the Call the Midwife Christmas special in South Africa. Prior to her relationship with Jack, Helen went through a divorce from her ex-husband Oliver Boot in 2015. The picture showed her using a medical leg knee walker, and the extensive bandages hinted at a painful leg injury. In the caption, Helen humorously referred to her new accessory as “Speedy,” accompanied by a black heart emoji. Despite rumors of relationship troubles, Jack had previously spoken positively about his connection with Helen.
