Ice Cube and Kanye West have seemingly buried the hatchet after a long-standing feud since last year. The two rappers were seen hugging and smiling outside of Ice Cube’s home in Marina Del Rey, Calif., on Friday. Kanye West appeared to be in good spirits before leaving in his car. The two rappers were spotted together, wearing their signature black outfits. Kanye, who has been seen wearing black sock shoes on several occasions, wore a black short-sleeve shirt and black pants. Meanwhile, Ice Cube sported a black hoodie, jeans, Nike sneakers, and his signature LA Dodgers baseball cap.
Background of the Feud
The reunion comes after Kanye made anti-Semitic comments during his infamous appearance on the “Drink Champs” podcast in October 2022. In the since-deleted episode, West claimed that Ice Cube had “really influenced” him to “get on this anti-Semite vibe.” However, Ice Cube took to Twitter soon after to dispel those claims. He tweeted, “I hate that my name was dragged into this Drunk Champs bulls–t. I don’t know what Ye meant by his statements, you’re gonna have to ask him. I didn’t put the batteries in his back. Please leave my name out of all the anti-Semitic talk. I’m not anti-Semitic and never have been.”
Ice Cube Doubles Down on Denial
In December, Ice Cube doubled down on his denial during an appearance on the “Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson” show. He said, “Like, homie. You gotta stand on this one on your own. That’s all that was about. You know, I didn’t say nothin’. It’s just, at the end of the day, I just had to let everybody know that don’t blame me for s–t. Talk your s–t if you want to, but don’t blame me for s–t. If I ain’t up there speaking for myself, don’t blame me.”
Aftermath of Kanye’s Remarks
Kanye’s anti-Semitic comments previously caused the father of four to be booted from both Twitter and Instagram. Kanye had tweeted that he would go “death con 3 on Jewish people” and blamed them for trying to “blackball” him for opposing their alleged agenda. Due to his controversial remarks, both Adidas and Gap cut ties with the Chicago native.

The reunion of Ice Cube and Kanye West comes more than seven months after the controversy. The two rappers have seemingly put their feud behind them and reconciled. The reunion is a symbol of mending fences and moving forward.
