He stated that he would start coaching Musk immediately and that he is a fan of the things Musk is doing for the world and what he stands for.
Cruz is a 24-4 fighter who has beaten the likes of Urijah Faber, T.J. Dillashaw, and Demetrious Johnson. He believes that Musk could do a lot worse than having him as a coach and trainer for the fight. Cruz stated that Musk is a special guy in the world right now, and he would love to be in his corner to watch him execute martial arts, which brings people together.

Many people believe that a potential fight between Musk and Zuckerberg is disrespectful to martial arts. However, Cruz and many others believe the opposite. Cruz stated that if the fight is going to be called the highest level of sport, that might be disrespectful. However, no one is saying that, and this is just for fun. It is merely a way for people to get their aggressions out and their differences in a healthy way.
The UFC president, Dana White, spoke to both billionaires and stated that they are “absolutely dead serious” about fighting each other in an Octagon. White believes that it would be the biggest fight, by far, in combat sports history. However, the biggest holdup at this point is the roughly 50 lbs. size advantage that Musk enjoys.
Assuming this issue can be resolved, some of the most dangerous men in the world are ready, willing, and able to whip the rich guys into shape. Jones has already offered to be Zuckerberg’s training partner, and now Cruz has offered to coach and train Musk. It remains to be seen whether this fight will happen, but if it does, it will be a spectacle like no other.
