Elon Musk and Grimes have raised eyebrows and sparked speculation of a possible reconciliation after they were recently spotted on vacation in Italy with their respective sons. The couple, who have had a tumultuous relationship, seemed to be enjoying quality time with their children in the picturesque streets of Portofino.
A Day Out in Portofino
Grimes, the 35-year-old “Genesis” singer, was captured on camera strolling through the charming streets of Portofino with her and Elon Musk’s adorable 3-year-old son, X Æ A-XII, fondly referred to as “X.” Meanwhile, Musk, the 52-year-old billionaire founder of Tesla and owner of Twitter, was seen dining with his older son, Saxon, 17, whom he shares with his ex-partner, Justine Wilson.
During their Italian getaway, Musk and Saxon were photographed engaged in lively conversation with some friends at a restaurant table adorned with tea and wine. Both father and son were casually dressed, with Musk sporting a plain olive-colored tee similar to his son’s off-white t-shirt. Grimes, on the other hand, showcased her unique style in a fashionable red dress with cutouts, complemented by a spiky necklace, black boots, sunglasses, and loose waves of blond hair.
Although there were no pictures of Musk and Grimes together, an eyewitness disclosed to the Daily Mail that the former couple was staying at the same luxurious hotel. However, representatives for both Musk and Grimes have not yet responded for comment.
This recent reunion follows a history of breakups and makeups between Musk and Grimes. It was exclusively revealed in 2018 that the duo had started dating. The unlikely pair reportedly connected due to a joke about artificial intelligence that Musk had intended to tweet, but he discovered that Grimes had already made a similar remark. Two years later, they welcomed their first child, X.
However, the couple’s relationship took a turn in March 2022, just months after the birth of their second child, Exa Dark Sideræl, through a surrogate. Grimes tweeted about the breakup, expressing her continued love and friendship for Musk. During their separation, rumors circulated that Musk had secretly fathered twins with another woman, Shivon Zillis, who had been a prominent executive at Neuralink, a company founded by Musk.
Following their split, Grimes briefly moved on with Chelsea Manning, the infamous whistle-blower, but the relationship proved short-lived. Musk, on the other hand, was seen on a romantic getaway with Australian actress Natasha Bassett in May 2022; however, their relationship reportedly ended in July of the same year.
