Kate Beckinsale, the English actress, has recently revealed that Keanu Reeves saved her from a wardrobe malfunction at the 1993 Cannes Film Festival. Beckinsale shared the story on her Instagram account after attending this year’s festival and remembering her first time at the festival 30 years ago. She posted a picture from the festival where she can be seen walking the red carpet with her “Much Ado About Nothing” co-stars Reeves, Robert Sean Leonard, and Denzel Washington.
Beckinsale explained that she was wearing a bodysuit that she bought from the Sock Shop at the airport, and when she got in the car to drive to the premiere with Denzel and Pauletta Washington, all the poppers in the crotch popped themselves open and the bodysuit flipped up like a roller blind. She didn’t feel it was appropriate to go delving around in her undercarriage to clip her bodysuit back together, so she just quietly panicked.
Upon exiting the vehicle and stepping out onto the biggest red carpet of her life, the Pearl Harbor star whispered to Keanu and Robert Sean Leonard what had happened. In the picture from the festival, Beckinsale can be seen holding the front gusset down and the two actors holding the back gusset. Beckinsale called the actors “absolute legends who may not even have fully understood the physics of what was happening or even heard the word ‘gusset’ before. But both jumped in to save me no questions asked x.”

Beckinsale attended the 2023 Cannes Film Festival last week, and her youthful appearance caused many to wonder whether she had a facelift because it’s not possible to be this gorgeous at 50. The Serendipity actress replied to one inquiring social media user that she had no threads, no thread lift, no Botox, no laser, no nose job, and no filler. She explained that she has facials with PRP to boost collagen and microcurrent for skin tightening and oxygen. However, she admitted that she’s scared to try laser and hasn’t done so yet.
Some people doubted Beckinsale’s denial and accused her of lying. Beckinsale responded that she was not lying and that she didn’t have to accept people accusing her of things she hadn’t done. She claimed that she couldn’t use injectables because she has a condition called mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS), and she reacts to hundreds of things badly. MCAS is a condition where patients experience repeated episodes of the symptoms of anaphylaxis, including hives, swelling, low blood pressure, difficulty breathing, and severe diarrhea.
