Courtney Love accused of groping journalist at Coachella

Frank Elaridi, a journalist who predominantly works for ABC programs and digital platforms, has claimed that rocker Courtney Love groped him without his consent at Coachella around six years ago. Elaridi was covering the music festival for “Nightline” when he was sent to interview Love.

The Incident

Elaridi said he interviewed Love in a side room at her after-party before she invited him to hang out with her. The two took a photo together, and as soon as it was over, Love allegedly grabbed Elaridi’s crotch, leaving him feeling caught off guard. A photo was taken of the incident and sent to him by someone across the room. In the photo, Love can be seen grabbing Elaridi’s crotch seemingly forcefully with her right hand.

Elaridi’s Response

Elaridi claimed that he did not want to “go after her” 10 years later, as he believed that in his head, she was a rock star. He suggested that the conversation was still worth having as “she’s a woman” and he’s “a man”. Elaridi also claimed to have witnessed a similar dynamic when he was a backstage correspondent at “Dancing With the Stars” several years ago.

Love’s Response

Representatives for Love did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Elaridi took to Instagram to share a clip from his podcast, and though he didn’t want to “come off as a victim,” he wrote a lengthy caption describing the incident. In the caption, he noted that he believed that Love’s actions were not justifiable and that he was not trying to get her ‘cancelled’.
