Miley Cyrus, the American singer, recently announced that she won’t go on tour for her “Endless Summer Vacation” album. In a lengthy statement written on her iPhone Notes app and shared on her Instagram account, Cyrus explained that her choice has nothing to do with a lack of appreciation for her fans, but everything to do with her comfort while on the road. She does not want to miss out on the luxury of being in her own home and getting ready in a locker room, which is the reality of life on the road.

Cyrus noted in her statement that her fashion choices are not made for tour bus life. The looks she’s been turning don’t travel well, and the archival looks don’t fold. She also added that she just doesn’t want to sleep on a moving bus while traveling from city to city.
Her Love for Her Fans
However, Cyrus was quick to clarify that her choice to refrain from touring has nothing to do with her fans. In fact, she feels more connected to them than ever. Cyrus said that even if she doesn’t see them face to face every night at a concert, her fans are felt deeply in her heart. The pop star has been creating and innovating new ways to stay connected with her audience without sacrificing her own essentials.
The Future of Touring for Cyrus
Cyrus promised her fans that they will continue this journey together, as they have for the last almost two decades. Although touring is not in the cards for Cyrus right now, she assured her followers that it’s not completely off the table in the future. Her fans flooded the comments section of her Instagram post with supportive messages.
Cyrus’ Instagram post came days after she said in a viral British Vogue interview that she had no “desire” to hit the road because there is “no connection” or “safety” when she sings “for hundreds of thousands of people.”
Her latest studio album, released on March 10, debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart following the record-breaking success of its lead single “Flowers.” In May, the tune became the fastest song in Spotify history to reach 1 billion streams.
Cyrus made her touring debut in 2007 for her “Best of Both Words” tour. But it’s been nearly a decade since she was last on the road for her 2014 “Bangerz” tour. Since then, she has performed limited runs in North America in addition to festivals, including Glastonbury in 2019 and Lollapalooza Brazil in 2022.
