Actress Amber Heard was recently seen spending time with her two-year-old daughter, Oonagh Paige, at a park in Madrid. The “Rum Diary” star has reportedly moved to the Spanish capital and ended her acting career. During the outing, Heard watched from a distance as her daughter enjoyed playing on the playground. Oonagh wore blue-and-white striped overalls and a light pink T-shirt with matching sneakers, while Heard dressed casually in an all-black outfit, accessorized with sunglasses and a dainty gold necklace.
Private Life Away from the Public Eye
Heard welcomed Oonagh via surrogate in April of this year but has mostly kept her daughter out of the public eye. The pair were recently spotted out and about in Madrid with a nanny and a friend amid reports that Heard has quit Hollywood and moved to Spain. A friend of the actress revealed that Heard is bilingual in Spanish and happy to be raising her daughter away from the noise of Hollywood.
The End of a Defamation Trial
Heard’s move to Spain came after she lost her defamation trial against ex-husband Johnny Depp in June 2022. Depp had sued Heard for $50 million in March 2019 for defaming him in a December 2018 Washington Post op-ed. In the piece, Heard detailed being abused by an unnamed partner. Heard countersued the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star for $100 million the following year. The highly publicized court case went to trial last spring, with the jury ultimately ruling in Depp’s favor. Heard was ordered to pay Depp $10 million in compensatory damages and $350,000 in punitive damages. Since then, Heard has spent most of her time in Spain.
