Meghan Trainor and her husband Daryl Sabara celebrated their 7th anniversary by welcoming their second child into the world. The singer took to Instagram on Tuesday to share the joyous news and a black-and-white photo of her newborn son, Barry Bruce Trainor, pressed against her chest.
Barry was born on July 1st, weighing in at 8 pounds and 7 ounces. Despite being in a sideways position, Trainor had a successful C-section and was finally able to have skin-to-skin contact with her baby. She expressed her gratitude to the doctors and nurses who provided exceptional care during the delivery.
Trainor also shared a heartwarming picture of her husband, Sabara, holding their newborn son in the delivery room. She further delighted her fans by posting additional adorable photos of Barry with his wide-eyed expressions.
Fellow celebrities couldn’t contain their excitement and congratulated Trainor and Sabara in the comments section of the Instagram post. Mandy Moore exclaimed, “Go Mama!! Trainor, 29, had announced her pregnancy on the “Today” show in January after teasing her followers on social media about a long-held secret. During her appearance on the NBC morning show, she expressed her joy, saying, “I’m pregnant! We did it! It finally happened, and we’re so excited.”
In the same month, Trainor celebrated her first child Riley’s 2nd birthday. She shared sweet snapshots of the toddler on Instagram, captioning them, “Two years with the sweetest, silliest, happiest little boy. You are our everything. Love you so so so much!” Riley was born in February 2021 through a C-section.
Trainor has been vocal about the transformative power of motherhood. In a November 2022 interview with Genius, she shared how being a mother made her feel capable of achieving all her goals. She proudly stated, “I made eyelashes. I made eyelids. I made balls. There’s nothing I can’t do, know what I’m saying? After I went through a surgery where they took my guts out and I was awake? Try to stop me.”
Trainor and Sabara, who tied the knot in December 2018, have expressed their desire to continue expanding their family even after the arrival of their second child. In an interview with People in February 2022, Trainor revealed that her ideal number of children is four. She expressed immense gratitude for her ability to conceive, stating, “I’m halfway there.
