A New Chapter: Princess Charlene’s Children Take a Big Step in Their Education

Princess Charlene of Monaco has recently shared an exciting update about her two eight-year-old twins, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella. In an interview with Monaco-Matin, the royal mother revealed that her children have embarked on a significant transition as they returned to school at the beginning of September. For the first time, Jacques and Gabriella have been placed in separate classes, marking a new chapter in their educational journey.

Charlene expressed how thrilled her children were to reunite with their friends after a long vacation. However, the notable change of not being in the same class brought an added layer of excitement and anticipation for both Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella. As any student would feel on their first day back at school, they had high expectations for their new classmates, teachers, and even their outfits. This transition seemed like a significant step for them, and Charlene saw it as a positive development in their growth.

Currently, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella attend the private L’Institution François d’Assise-Nicolas Barré school (FANB) in Monaco. The school provides them with a nurturing and educational environment in which they can thrive. This prestigious institution equips the royal twins with the necessary tools and knowledge to navigate their academic journey successfully.

This recent change in the twins’ educational setting is not the first time they have experienced significant upheaval. In 2021, they were homeschooled at the palace in Monaco while their mother, Princess Charlene, underwent treatment and recovery for an ear-nose-throat (ENT) infection. Throughout this challenging time, Charlene showed incredible strength and resilience, which eventually led to her return to Monaco in November of the same year.

The year 2022 marked a turning point for Princess Charlene. Her recovery progress allowed her to resume her public engagements and embrace her passions even more. In an interview with PEOPLE magazine, Prince Albert expressed his pride in his wife’s achievements. Charlene’s active involvement in various events and her dedication to causes close to her heart brought immense joy to the entire family. This year, in particular, has been ending on a high note for the royal couple and their children.

Earlier this week, Princess Charlene and Prince Albert made a series of rare joint engagements, both within Monaco and beyond. One of their notable appearances was at the Rugby World Cup in Marseille, where they watched South Africa compete against Scotland. Charlene exuded effortless glamour in an all-black ensemble, including a straight-neck top, a long-sleeved wrap-over jacket, and matching trousers. Her accessories, such as oversized hoops, a cross necklace, and her three-carat, pear-cut diamond engagement ring, added the finishing touches to her elegant look. Prince Albert looked smart in a crisp white shirt paired with grey trousers. Throughout the sporting event, the couple displayed their affection, with Albert tenderly placing his arm around his wife.

Although Princess Charlene has now established herself as a fashion inspiration for many, she had her fair share of uncertainties in the past. Reflecting on her early experiences, she shared a humorous anecdote with Tatler. Charlene recalled her first Red Cross Ball, which she considered a baptism of fire. Accustomed to a life in swimsuits, she initially had little knowledge of fashion. On the day of the ball, she had been playing volleyball on the beach and only began preparing for the event in the late afternoon. She borrowed a green dress from a friend, styled her hair herself, and hastily painted her nails red. Comparing herself to a Christmas tree, Charlene’s fashion journey has certainly evolved since then, becoming a source of inspiration for many.

As Jacques and Gabriella venture into this new chapter of their education, their experiences at FANB and the support of their parents will undoubtedly shape them into well-rounded individuals. The excitement, expectations, and challenges they encounter along the way will contribute to their personal growth and development. Princess Charlene’s openness about her children’s education journey provides a glimpse into the lives of the royal family while also highlighting the importance of embracing change and pursuing educational opportunities.
