Kevin Costner seeks court intervention to evict estranged wife from shared home amid divorce

According to TMZ reports, Kevin Costner has sought court intervention to get his estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner, out of their shared home following their divorce. The “Yellowstone” star has alleged that his former model wife is refusing to vacate their house, despite the prenuptial agreement that detailed she should leave within 30 days of filing for divorce on May 1. Costner has also alleged that Baumgartner is using her position to force him to agree to her various financial demands.

Costner has already given Baumgartner over $1.2 million for his prenuptial obligations, which is more than enough to find somewhere else to live. In the court documents, Costner claimed that he is willing to contribute $30,000 per month for a rental house as part of his child support obligations and is willing to advance another $10,000 for her moving costs.

Page Six has reached out to Costner’s representative for comment but has not yet heard back.

Divorce Filing and Custody Request

Last month, Baumgartner filed for divorce after being married to Costner for 18 years, citing irreconcilable differences. In her filing, the handbag designer asked for joint custody of their three kids: Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13. However, she did not ask for spousal support.

“It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action,” a representative for the “Hidden Figures” actor confirmed at the time. “We ask that his, Christine’s, and their children’s privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time.”

Costner responded to her petition the following day, asking for joint custody of the children as well.

Sources told Page Six that Costner was left “stunned” by his wife’s decision to file for divorce. However, a longtime friend told us that there was no issue of cheating at all.

Reasons for the Divorce and Previous Relationships

A source close to the family told People that Baumgartner was unhappy with Costner’s work schedule prior to her filing. “Christine wants them to spend family time at their Santa Barbara home,” the insider said. “During filming, Kevin is not around very much. His absence has been very hard for her.”

Another source in the industry told the outlet that Costner’s career had occasionally taken precedence over his home life. “Kevin hasn’t been home very much for quite some time due to filming, the popularity of ‘Yellowstone,’ and the time necessary for his other projects. He has been in demand,” the source said.

Baumgartner and the “Field of Dreams” star began dating in 1999, shortly after the actor called it quits with Bridget Rooney, with whom he shares son Liam, 27. Costner and the Cat Bag Couture designer temporarily split in 2003 and reunited the following year, tying the knot in Aspen, Colo.

Costner was previously married to Cindy Costner, with whom he shares three kids together: Annie, 39, Lily, 36, and Joe, 35.
