Jen Shah, known for her appearance on “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” has formed a bond with Elizabeth Holmes, the disgraced entrepreneur behind the notorious Theranos scandal. Despite their contrasting backgrounds, these women have found common ground and understanding in their shared journey of rehabilitation and personal growth.
A Bond Beyond Bars
According to Chris Giovanni, Shah’s representative, the two women have become friends and have developed a deep connection during their time together. Giovanni states, “Their situations brought them together, and they have a good understanding of one another. They’re getting through it together.”
In a surprising turn of events, Shah has even taken on a nurturing role towards Holmes. As a mother figure, she has provided advice and guidance to the 38-year-old, who recently welcomed her second child just before commencing her prison term. Giovanni shares that Shah has been loving and supportive towards Holmes and her young family.

Shah’s commitment to her physical well-being has not gone unnoticed. She has embraced a fitness class called “Sha-mazing Abs,” where she invites fellow inmates to join her in exercise. Elizabeth Holmes has eagerly participated in these workouts, demonstrating her support for Shah’s fitness goals.

Contrary to her portrayal on the television show, Shah has found inner peace and tranquility. Her journey has led her to graduate from anger management classes and adopt a more grounded and centered mindset. Giovanni exclaims, “Jen’s not anything like the show portrayed her to be. She’s so peaceful now.”

In January, Shah was sentenced to six-and-a-half years in prison after pleading guilty to wire fraud related to a telemarketing scheme. Her sentence was subsequently reduced to five-and-a-half years, with a new release date set for August 30, 2028.
Similarly, Holmes, the mastermind behind the Theranos scandal, was convicted on four counts of wire fraud and initially sentenced to 11 years in jail. However, her sentence was later reduced to nine years, and she is now due to be released on December 29, 2032.
