Ice-T has come to the defense of his wife, Coco Austin, after she received criticism for her revealing Fourth of July ensemble. The rapper’s wife, Austin, took to Instagram on Independence Day to share two steamy pictures of herself. While some fans praised her for the bold and confident look, others took issue with her choice of attire.
Austin, 44, left little to the imagination as she posed in a white G-string thong and a red crop top that barely covered half of her breasts. Completing her outfit with white heels, sunglasses, and two small American flags, Austin certainly made a statement.
However, the negative comments soon began pouring in. One troll questioned Austin’s role as a mother, asking if she would want her own daughter to dress similarly. Another critic expressed disbelief that Austin’s husband, Ice-T, would be okay with her exposing so much skin, especially in front of their child. Yet another user suggested that Austin’s behavior was inappropriate for a mother.
Ice-T’s Response
Once Ice-T caught wind of the online backlash, he wasted no time in defending his wife. Taking to the comments section of Austin’s Instagram post, the rapper responded to the trolls directly. He questioned why they were still following Austin if they had such a problem with her, dismissing their negative comments as “weirdo s–t.”
Addressing concerns about their daughter, Chanel, 7, seeing the revealing photos, Ice-T responded with a biting remark, telling the user to “go do some sit-ups.” Clearly unbothered by the criticism, Ice-T urged the trolls to simply unfollow his wife if they didn’t like what they saw.
This is not the first time Ice-T has defended Austin from online hate. Earlier this year, he shut down a Twitter user who criticized Austin’s outfit at the 2023 Grammy Awards. Ice-T fired back, questioning the commenter’s personal life and reminding them that retaliation is their approach to negativity.
Ice-T and Austin have been married since January 2002 and share two children together. In addition to Chanel, they are also parents to daughter LeTesha Marrow, 47, and son Tracy Marrow Jr., 31.
