Hamptons Restaurateur Expands to North Fork with Three New Spots

Zach Erdem, the successful owner of 75 Main and Blu Mar in Southampton, is expanding his restaurant empire to the North Fork. Erdem is opening three new spots in Greenport, Long Island. He has signed a 20-year lease on two restaurant properties, with one spot being a Greek restaurant called ZErdem serving fresh local fish, while the other will be Café 75, offering American fare for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Erdem, who is originally from Turkey, has hired a Turkish pastry chef for the new venture. Both restaurants are set to open on May 25th alongside a new hotel called ZEY which Erdem has also purchased.

Erdem fell in love with the area after a friend took him there for dinner. He claims that Greenport reminds him of his childhood in Turkey, and he spent all day driving around, seeing chickens, big farms, cows, horses, and the liveliness of every restaurant filled with people. Erdem believes that Greenport is the future Hamptons and encourages people to visit the area instead of Napa Valley.

Erdem’s new hotel, ZEY, offers 10 rooms on Main Street, and Café 75 is attached to it. The new hotel and restaurants are a perfect addition to the town, which already has a vibrant food scene. Erdem believes that Greenport is a great area with beautiful people and is looking at other places in Long Beach for possible expansion.

75 Main, one of Erdem’s existing restaurants, is famous for attracting a celebrity clientele, including Kendall Jenner, Alex Rodriguez, Jimmy Fallon, and more. With the addition of three new spots, Erdem is expanding his influence in the Hamptons and the North Fork. The Greek and American restaurants will add a new dimension to Greenport’s food scene, and the hotel will provide visitors with a unique and comfortable experience in the heart of the town.
