Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin spent part of his offseason with Cincinnati Bengals star receivers, Tee Higgins, Ja’Marr Chase, and Tyler Boyd. Hamlin’s near-death experience on the field brought him closer to his Cincinnati buddies. The longtime pals decided to take a trip to the desert recently and posted a picture of themselves on ATVs. Boyd captioned the shot “Hot Boyz.” Hamlin and Boyd grew up playing against each other on the youth football field in Pennsylvania, and they were joined by fellow Bengals route runners Higgins and Chase.
Hamlin’s Near-Death Experience
During the Jan. 2 Monday Night Football game, Hamlin collapsed on the field while attempting to tackle Tee Higgins. He was rushed to a local hospital and was diagnosed with commotio cordis. Higgins and his mother stayed at the hospital throughout the night to support Hamlin’s family. Five months later, Hamlin is thankfully cleared to return to his normal life and football career. He has since used his story to raise awareness for AEDs and CPR training.
While the guys were having fun on their ATVs, it is important to note that these vehicles are known to cause accidents. It is crucial to prioritize safety when engaging in such activities to prevent any life-threatening injuries.
