Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval mourn the sudden death of their mutual friend Ali Rafiq

Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval, stars of the reality TV show “Vanderpump Rules,” are in mourning over the sudden death of their mutual friend, Ali Rafiq. The St. Louis-based photographer passed away earlier this week. Both Madix and Sandoval took to Instagram over the weekend to pay tribute to their friend. Sandoval, who knew Rafiq since childhood, wrote a heartfelt message, saying that he would carry him forever in his heart. Madix also shared a lengthy post on Instagram, expressing her sadness and how much she missed her friend. Madix met Rafiq through her now-ex and said that she would always cherish the beautiful memories, uncontrollable laughter, and epic experiences they had together.

Cause of Death Unknown

Rafiq’s cause of death is not yet known, according to his sister Rabia. She said in an Instagram Story after the funeral service on Saturday that they had found him and he was already gone. She added that they would not have any answers from his tests for weeks.

The Fallout of Scandoval

Madix’s close pal’s loss is not the only change in her life. In March, Madix caught Sandoval having a months-long affair with fellow “Vanderpump Rules” co-star Raquel Leviss, who was also her ex-friend. Madix swiftly dumped her boyfriend of nine years and moved on with Daniel Wai, whom she met at a wedding just days after learning about the affair. Bravo resumed production and taped a new finale that documented the fallout of Scandoval. The highly anticipated final episode featured a heated confrontation between the now-exes, and Leviss and Sandoval professing their love for each other. Page Six confirmed that Sandoval and Leviss have called it quits following the scandal.
