Janet Jackson had quite the night out in New York City after performing two sold-out shows of her “Together Again” tour at Madison Square Garden. The pop icon called up her designer friend Christian Siriano for a night of dancing, according to a source. Eager to hit the town, Jackson asked Siriano for recommendations on where to go.
A Night of Dancing and Bartending
Siriano quickly got in touch with his DJ friend, Ty Sunderland, to spin for Jackson and her dancers at Mulberry, Nolita’s latest hot spot. Patrons left at the 2 a.m. closing time, but Jackson and Siriano stayed with their crew, dancing until after 5 a.m. Siriano even took over the bar, making shots for everyone.
Siriano was spotted at Jackson’s Monday night MSG show, where he danced with pals Alicia Silverstone, stylist Leah Snow, and his designer boyfriend Kyle Smith. During Jackson’s show, her dancers wore Siriano’s designs.
This isn’t the first time that Jackson and Siriano have hit the town together. The duo had their first in-person meeting at Siriano’s New York Fashion Week show last September. Jackson also attended a private dinner hosted by Siriano and later partied at the Paradise Club at the Times Square Edition Hotel, where a DJ spun her tunes all night.
Siriano is currently working on new looks for Jackson’s “Control” show. The two have formed a close bond, and it’s clear that they enjoy each other’s company. With Jackson’s tour continuing to sell out across the country, fans can expect to see more of her and Siriano’s escapades.
