Ja Morant’s Welfare Check Reveals He is Safe and Unharmed

After Ja Morant shared cryptic messages on social media, police officers conducted a welfare check on the NBA star. The police officers went to Morant’s home in Tennessee following his concerning messages on Instagram. The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson confirmed that Morant is safe and unharmed.

Social Media Break

Morant shared pictures of himself with his mother, father, and daughter before writing a caption that simply said “bye.” The posts were later deleted. The spokesperson stated that Morant told police that he was taking a break from social media.

Fans Express Concern

Morant’s fans expressed concern after the turmoil that surrounded him since he was seen holding a gun in a video for the second time in less than three months. However, the welfare check confirmed that the 23-year-old basketball player is safe and unharmed.

On-Going NBA Investigation

Morant has released only one statement since the second gun video was posted. In his statement, he expressed accountability for his actions and commitment to working on himself. The NBA is still investigating the clip.
