Joanna Gaines Celebrates Mother’s Day and 20th Anniversary Amidst Milestones

Joanna Gaines, the famous interior designer and mother of five, is commemorating Mother’s Day with her family. However, it is also a poignant moment since it is her oldest child, Drake’s first Mother’s Day away from home since starting college. Drake was born in 2005 and recently left the family home to start his college journey. Joanna shared in Magnolia Journal that while it is exciting, it is also bittersweet, as their family dynamic will change.

Cherishing Moments with Her Children

Joanna Gaines opened up in an interview with People last year about how quickly her children are growing up, saying that it is a constant reminder to cherish these moments. She shared that her children are always there, encouraging her as she walks out the door, and sometimes she feels like they are the parents. Joanna and Chip share five children, Drake, 18, Ella Rose, 16, Duke, 14, Emmie Kay, 12, and Crew, four.

20th Wedding Anniversary

In addition to Mother’s Day and Drake’s milestone, Joanna and Chip are also getting ready to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary. They tied the knot on May 31, 2003, at the historic Earle-Harrison House in Waco, Texas. Chip reflected on their relationship in Magnolia Journal, stating that their world has changed in the past 20 years, but the promise they made to each other at the altar remains strong. He shared that they are still committed to sticking together through thick and thin.

As Joanna celebrates these milestones, she is also preparing to launch a new series, “Magnolia Table with Joanna Gaines,” on Discovery+. It is a cooking show that highlights Joanna’s favorite recipes and cooking tips.
