Biden was at the podium when several players suddenly looked toward the middle of the group, and staffers rushed onto the stage seconds later. The incident was captured on the White House’s live stream of the ceremony, which was quickly cut off.

LSU head coach Kim Mulkey later confirmed that Smith is doing okay, despite the scare. Mulkey reassured the audience that Smith was embarrassed but fine and needed to be checked out. The incident caused a brief delay before the ceremony resumed.
