LSU Women’s Basketball Player Sa’Myah Smith Passes Out During White House Visit

LSU women’s basketball player Sa’Myah Smith passed out during President Joe Biden’s speech at the White House on Friday. The incident occurred just minutes after Biden honored the Tigers’ NCAA title win over the Iowa Hawkeyes in April. Biden was at the podium when several players suddenly looked toward the middle of the group, and staffers rushed onto the stage seconds later. The incident was captured on the White House’s live stream of the ceremony, which was quickly cut off.

Coach Mulkey’s Update

LSU head coach Kim Mulkey later confirmed that Smith is doing okay, despite the scare. Mulkey reassured the audience that Smith was embarrassed but fine and needed to be checked out. The incident caused a brief delay before the ceremony resumed.

Custom Jerseys and Iced-Out Watches

After the incident, LSU star Angel Reese handed President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden custom Tigers jerseys and even gave Jill Biden a hug. Reese had initially been hesitant about going to the White House, but later changed her mind and brought some iced-out watches to show off with Mulkey and Flau’jae Johnson.

Congratulations to the Tigers

Despite the scare, the LSU women’s basketball team was able to celebrate their historic NCAA title win at the White House. Congratulations to the Tigers on their accomplishment.
