Kim Cattrall Embraces Aging with a Nip and Tuck

Actress Kim Cattrall has been known for her natural beauty and her previous stance on aging. She used to embrace aging and believed that it was interesting. However, in her recent interview with the Sunday Times, the “Sex and the City” star revealed that she has now changed her mind and is all about battling aging in every way she can. Cattrall, who is now in her 60s, shared that there are now many alternatives to aging that she can explore, such as fillers, Botox, and other treatments that stimulate the body to fight aging. She emphasized, though, that finding the right surgeon is crucial to achieving the desired outcome.

A Change of Heart

Cattrall’s change of heart is a U-turn from her prior stance on the subject. In 2011, she told the Daily Mail that she wanted to embrace aging because she believed that it was interesting. She even looked up to other actresses, such as Judi Dench, who was in her 70s at the time, and admired them for aging gracefully. However, Cattrall now wants to look like the best version of herself, especially since she plays a certain kind of woman who looks a certain kind of way professionally.

The Pressure of Aging in the Public Eye

Cattrall’s fellow “Sex and the City” cast members have also faced intense scrutiny over their aging appearances. Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis have both spoken out about the misogynistic comments that they have received regarding their looks. Parker shared in her December 2021 Vogue cover shoot that there is so much misogynistic chatter that they receive that would never happen to a man. Davis, on the other hand, revealed to NewBeauty in 2022 that the intense scrutiny over their faces was a shock. She believes that there is more to life than how we look, but it is unavoidable in our culture, especially for women.

Kim Cattrall’s new approach to aging is a significant change from her previous stance. She now believes in exploring various alternatives to aging, such as fillers and Botox, to look like the best version of herself. Her fellow “Sex and the City” cast members have also been vocal about the pressure of aging in the public eye, especially for women.
