Jamie Foxx’s daughter, Corinne, recently took to social media to address rumors that the actor’s condition had worsened. She stated that her father has been out of the hospital for weeks and is “recuperating.” Foxx was admitted to an Atlanta hospital in April while filming his upcoming Netflix movie Back in Action. In a statement released by the family, they revealed that the 55-year-old Oscar winner had experienced a “medical complication” but was already on the road to recovery.
Outpouring of Support from Friends and Family
Foxx’s famous friends and family have shared their prayers for his speedy recovery. Model Nicole Murphy, a longtime friend of the actor, expressed her hopes that “everything works out for the best for him.” Martin Lawrence also shared his prayers, calling Foxx “one of the best entertainers” in Hollywood.
Back in Action stars Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close and has faced several setbacks during production. Last month, reports surfaced of a meltdown by Foxx during filming in the UK, resulting in the dismissal of several staff members, including an executive producer, two directors, and his own driver. Despite this, Foxx’s family remains positive and plans to make an “exciting work announcement” soon.
