Diane Keaton Calls Herself “Disgusting” and “Stupid” on “The View”

Actress Diane Keaton appeared on “The View” on Friday to promote the movie “Book Club: The Next Chapter” with her co-stars Mary Steenburgen, Candice Bergen, and Jane Fonda. During the show, an Instagram video of Keaton dancing to Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers” was brought up. Despite Keaton expressing that she did not want to talk about it, the clip was played, and Keaton called herself “disgusting” and “stupid.”

Embracing Her Kooky Persona

Keaton has embraced her kooky persona since her role in the movie “Annie Hall” in 1977 and has never been married. In an interview earlier this year, she shared that she is “highly unlikely” to be in another relationship and has not dated in years.

Being a Single Mother and Finding Companionship

Keaton became a single mother in her 50s when she adopted her daughter, Dexter, 27, and son, Duke, 22. She has now found companionship with her dog Reggie, whom she describes as a “big jerk” and “hilarious.”

Feeling Bewildered by the Live Audience

During her appearance on “The View,” Keaton seemed bewildered by the live audience. When co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin asked her a question about having “fun at any age,” Keaton cut her off and said, “I had no fun at any age.” She then described the room as “scary” and wondered why she was there.

Despite her self-deprecating comments, Keaton has had a successful career in Hollywood and has won an Academy Award for her role in “Annie Hall.” She continues to work in the industry and has several upcoming projects, including “Love, Weddings & Other Disasters” and “Mack & Rita.”
