Blake Shelton Receives Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Blake Shelton called his marriage to Gwen Stefani “the greatest thing that’s happened” as he received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday May 12. The Voice coach, 46, was joined by his wife and her three sons during the ceremony. He declared that he had stopped checking things off his list of great accomplishments in life when he married Gwen. The country music star remarked that his wife’s love was the great thing that had happened along his journey.

A Rare Human Being

Gwen Stefani also spoke at the ceremony and paid a rare public tribute to her husband, Blake, calling him a “rare human being”. She described him as humble, genuine, and someone who everyone feels they know. Gwen stated that Blake was part of the country dream, the Hollywood dream, and the American Dream. She concluded by saying that Blake was her dream come true.

Blake’s former The Voice colleague Adam Levine was also in attendance with his wife Behati Prinsloo. Blake showed his love for Adam by posing with the Maroon 5 singer and kissing him on the cheek. Carson Daly, who officiated Blake and Gwen’s 2021 wedding, also spoke and poked fun at the couple. He joked that Gwen was unable to resist this hillbilly’s bone.

Blake’s family also attended the Hollywood event, having flown in from Oklahoma. The country music star dedicated his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame to his brother Richie, who died in a car accident in 1990.
